Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Finance Business Partnering team, which supports health care services provided by the Surgery and Clinical Diagnostics & Therapeutics Clinical Boards.
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board has well established Finance Business Partnering teams, each led by an Assistant Director of Finance.
These posts offer career development opportunities fulfilling key roles in contributing to the Cardiff and Vale agenda, providing financial and business advice, whilst working with passionate and committed people. The Assistant Clinical Board Accountant will assist a team of Accountants, working with managers and budget holders to influence and develop integrated service, workforce and financial plans.
We are seeking to fill two posts:
Post 1 will support the Surgery Clinical Board, with focus on General Surgery, Ears Nose & Throat, Audiology, Urology, Ophthalmology & Dental.
Post 2 will support the Clinical Diagnostics & Therapeutics Clinical Board, with focus on Therapies, Radiology, Clinical Engineering, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Illustration, Outpatients & Patient Administration.

Main duties of the job
Candidates considered for interview will have work experience within a financial or administrative role or will have NVQ level 4/AAT or equivalent experience. Candidates must possess excellent communication, organisational and IT skills and be committed to working flexibly in a team which delivers an excellent service to its stakeholders.
The office base will be Woodland House with the expectation that a proportion of time is spent working from home, appropriate equipment and support will be provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
