Job summary
Pine detox is our 12 bedded specialist inpatient service for those experiencing problematic drug and alcohol misuse. Its serves as both a national centre of excellence for Wales and the Regional Hub for established Rehabilitations Pathways. Pine follows a psychosocial model of nursing care in which experienced traumatic events are explored as the core of addictive behaviours. Pine is an exceptional place to work in order to help newly qualified nurses develop their skills and knowledge in managing substance misuse and supporting patients in their recovery.
We are currently recruiting for two Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses, who are looking to pursue and develop their careers within Addictions Inpatient Services. This is an opportunity to work within a fast paced but rewarding environment, with an experienced and dynamic team on the Pine Detox ward. Post holders will be RMN's with a special interest and a real passion for working with patients who have substance misuse issues. We are seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated and compassionate nurses to join our existing team, to provide high quality care. We are searching for individuals who share our values. Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
Demonstrate and supervise practice and procedures to registered and unregistered nursing staff to secure effective nursing practice.
To take a key role in the induction and mentorship of new and unregistered staff, and provide supervision.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
