Job summary

The Perioperative Directorate are currently looking for a bright keen motivated candidate with experience working in Operational Management to join our team in the Hospital Sterilisation and Decontamination Unit based at University Hospital of Wales.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and will work well within a team. The ability to cope in stressful and demanding situations is highly desirable, although support will be given.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting senior managers within the Hospital Sterilisation and Decontamination Unit.

The post holder will provide high level, professional and confidential support to the Senior Management team under the management of the Service Manager covering all aspects of managerial support.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Pertinent postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience
  • ILM level 5

  • Recognised management qualification
  • Recognised Leadership qualification
  • Master's degree in pertinent subject
