Job summary
Provide experienced and professional leadership for a team within the Perioperative Care Directorate and be responsible for the effective first line management, ensuring all staff members are adequately trained, educated, skilled and all practice is in accordance with appropriate codes of practice providing supervision, guidance and expert advise.
Monitor activities in line with legal and professional requirements, statutory rules and UHB policy relating to evidence based practice.
Main duties of the job
Line manage several areas of each site including cross site working within HSDU at UHW and SSU at UHL. Support staff in upholding the ISO Standards 13485 2016 and Medical devices Directive 93/42/EEC standards as part of providing the quality and safety of performance expected by service users and regulators.
Take responsibility for effective rostering of staff to ensure the clinical area has effective skill mix and staffing levels to meet demand; and staff health and well-being is a key consideration underpinning the rosters produced.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
