Job summary
The post holder will be part of the IT Security team to support the overall development, management and delivery of the health board's IT Security work program. To provide IT Security advice and support both internally to the Digital and Health Intelligence department and to staff working throughout Cardiff and Vale University Health Board under the direction of the IT Security Manager.
To participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure IT Security provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with the health board's goals, industry best practice and regulatory requirements.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
- Provides and receives complex, sensitive information relating to Cyber Security and the safe operation of the organisation's IT systems
- Specialist knowledge of the CIA triad, its role in IT Security, the typical security controls used and threats against them
- Investigate and act on suspicious / phishing emails
- Block / allow access to specific websites on the proxy server
- Knowledge of a range of IT areas acquired through qualification to degree or equivalent level or relevant experience
- Review, approve and process cloud security assessments, chase up missing information and maintain the cloud security assessment log
- Regular requirement to produce documents such as cloud security risk analysis, and produce and update internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the IT Security department
- Responsible for regularly creating and maintaining Secure File Share Portal (SFSP) accounts and system rights for CAV UHB staff and maintaining the associated log
