Job summary

LATCH is a charity that supports children receiving treatment for cancer at the Children's Hospital for Wales and their families.

LATCH provides financial, practical and emotional support and on-site accommodation at the Children's Hospital for Wales to families as well as funding specialised equipment, clinical projects and fun activities for children.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months due to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen at LATCH Welsh Children's Cancer Charity to join our growing organisation. As our new Administrator, you will make an important contribution to the charity and provide comprehensive administrative support to the LATCH staff team.

The post holder will work as part of a small and friendly team in supporting children with cancer and their families. The role is diverse, with each day bringing new and varied challenges. The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, proven ability of using their own initiative and the ability to deliver accurate and high-quality work whilst meeting various deadlines.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about LATCH and keen to learn and develop.You will enjoy working in a busy team environment and have experience of working in an administration capacity, with excellent communication and organisational skills. The role requires good numeracy and literacy skills, a high level of capability with IT software packages and a solution focused mindset.

The successful candidate will also be able to work calmly under pressure, be able to adapt and work flexibly, and show care and support to potentially vulnerable families when needed.
