Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietetic Support Worker or Public Health Nutritionist to work as a Band 4 Dietetic Assistant Practitioner in Public Health Nutrition and Dietetics in Cardiff and Vale UHB Community Nutrition and Dietetic Services. The post will involve the administrative co-ordination of public health nutrition and dietetic services that are part of the all Wales Nutrition Skills for Life programme, including supporting the transition to the new digital delivery model. The post will be under the supervision of the All Wales Nutrition Training Facilitator and will contribute towards key projects such as; developing digital learning and teaching resources for nutrition training for staff in adult care settings, supporting the management of the Nutrition Skills for Life website and social media platforms and support completion and launch of the Foodwise in Pregnancy and Foodwise for Life mobile applications.There will additionally be a requirement to support the collection and management of all Wales Nutrition Skills for Life and Foodwise for Life evaluation data. Candidates should be familiar with practices associated with data protection and confidentiality.
Main duties of the job
To provide highly skilled, specialist support under the direction of the All Wales Nutrition Training Facilitator supporting the national Nutrition Skills for Life (NSFL) programme . The postholder is responsible for:
- Supporting the All Wales Nutrition Training Facilitator, based in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, to co-ordinate and administer the all Wales Nutrition Skills for Life (NSFL) programme
- Meeting learner registration and admin service requirements, including for digital learning, efficiently and effectively
- Assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of key public health nutrition and dietetic digital projects including; Foodwise in Pregnancy and Foodwise for Life mobile applications, digital learning and teaching resources for the nutrition training for those working in adult care settings
- Supporting day to day management of the NSFL website and social media account
- Assisting in the organisation and provision of performance management and programme evaluation information.
