To take responsibility for a defined caseload of individuals with substance-use related needs and to plans and oversee the provision of therapeutic interventions for clients on that caseload.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Addictions Unit for a Registered Nurse within the role of Community detox nurse.
The successful applicant will be required to assist individuals within their own homes who are undertaking medically assisted community detoxification from alcohol and will work alongside current addiction teams within Cardiff and the Vale.
This is a newly developed post and full induction and training will be offered.
Addiction services are based both in Cardiff and the Vale and the post holder will be based between both CAU, Cardiff Royal Infirmary and CAU Newlands Vale.
The post requires the ability to travel between sites and therefore full driving license is required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
