Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Coach to join the Live Well rehabilitation team. Working in partnership with leisure and third sector organisations, this therapy team supports people living with Long Term Health Conditions to achieve better health outcomes and quality of life. The post holder will deliver group based exercise, activity and nutritional programmes in leisure and community centres across Cardiff and Vale, aimed at supporting people to self manage their health condition.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate an energetic, enthusiastic and flexible approach to their work. Previous experience as a therapies support worker is advantageous and the ability to work well with all members of the multi-disciplinary team is essential. You will need to have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, be able to work as part of a varied team, and be able to motivate service users.

Cardiff and Vale UHB is unique in being both a teaching Health Board and providing Tertiary, Specialist, General, Acute, Mental health and Community services. The Therapies services have excellent clerical support teams and robust IT hardware and software.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
