Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 6 care co-ordinator to join our team. We are looking for a versatile, motivated, committed and experienced mental health nurse to work with adults who are living with severe and enduring mental health issues.

We are a supportive, experienced and highly motivated multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate would be, committed to work within the recovery model and dedicated to improve the well-being of service users and their carers'.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the North and West Cardiff Locality Community Mental Health Service.This comprises of The Pendine, Gabalfa and Pentwyn CMHTs.

The team work with a diverse range of clients within a supportive team environment. The post holder will need good risk management and decision making skills together with the ability to work under pressure. You will be part of a close multi-disciplinary teams in an open-plan work space. The post holder will be expected to carry out assessments, run depot clinics, manage a caseload and take part in duty shifts. The CMHT works closely with third sector agencies and specialist services. Exceptional communication skills with patients and staff across agencies are essential for this post.

Due to the nature of the role, the post holder would need to be flexible in their approach, be recovery focused and ensure that they embody the UHB's core values and behaviours.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
