Job summary
Due to career progression, an opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Ward Manager on A6 North Spinal Injuries in University Hospital of Wales.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse who can help the ward manager in leading change and motivate staff. Spinal injuries can be life changing, we need someone who has the experience, empathy and passion needed for this unique patient group.
Main duties of the job
You will be a team player with good communication, organisation and with clinical experience. You will have the ability to engage clinically with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will have in depth proven clinical knowledge and skills for caring for patients as well as working with the values of the UHB.
Working closely with the ward manager to ensure patients are looked after with high standards of care, by completing audits, action plans, monitoring staffing levels, ensuring staff are trained, completing rota's and managing attendance.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
