Job summary

Working directly to the South West Cardiff Cluster Community Director and at the interface with the Locality Manager for North and West Cardiff, the key role of the post holder will be to:

  1. a) Provide administrative support to Community Director and the work of the South West Cardiff Cluster.
  2. b) Take a lead role in the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of projects, processes and systems that are essential to the evolution of Cardiff South West Cluster and its 3-year action plan.
  3. c) Develop specialist knowledge (through education/training) as required to support the delivery of key aspects of the cluster action plan

In fulfilling this role, the post holder will develop working relationships with GPs, Practice Managers, Locality Management Staff and other community partners and be able to represent the Community Director/Locality Manager and Cluster practices at relevant internal and external meetings.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to work in Cardiff South West Cluster within the North West Locality. Reporting through the Assistant Locality Manager to the Cluster Lead, you will work closely with the GP practices that serve a diverse population, liaising with wider Cluster stakeholders to build effective working relationships.

The Project Support Officer will support all aspects of Cluster business, including the delivery of specific projects within the Cluster Intermediate Medium-Term Plan.

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and a track record of engaging effectively with a wide variety of people and organisations. Personal resilience, diplomacy, influencing skills and the ability to solve problems will be required. Attention to detail, Information Management Skills, and knowledge of Primary Care Services would also be advantageous in this role. A strong understanding of Partnership Working is also important.

You will be required to work both on your own initiative and collaboratively to meet deadlines to deliver evolving projects. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to implement positive change for the local Cluster population.
