Clinical Research Fellow in Paediatric Neurology
A new opportunity has arisen for an outstanding candidate to work on and support cutting edge paediatric and neuroscience clinical trials at the Children and Young Adults' Research Unit, Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales.
The candidate will also support research at Cardiff University's Brain Imaging Research Centre (CUBRIC). CUBRIC provides access to state-of-the-art brain scanning technologies, including structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI and fMRI), electro- and magneto-encephalography (EEG and MEG), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).The Children's Hospital is part of Cardiff and Vale University teaching health board with close links to Cardiff University. The University boasts a high profile teaching, research and development role within the UK and abroad. Together we are training the next generation of medical professionals. Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board offers an extensive range of Regional Medical and Surgical Specialties for children in Wales, including Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Haematology-Oncology, Endocrinology, Immunology, Metabolic Medicine, Palliative Care, Paediatric Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Spinal Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Audiology.
Main duties of the job
Cardiff and Vale uHB is situated in a vibrant easily accessible part of Wales which combines the best of City life, coast and countryside all within easy reach. An exceptional quality of life can be achieved with affordable housing in the locality good schools and excellent sporting and cultural events at venues such as the Millennium stadium and the Millennium Centre and a range of others.References will be required to cover a minimum of three years of previous employment and/or training.
