Job summary

FIXED TERM APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE COVERING A TRAINING POST CORE SURGICAL TRAINING ROTATION CT1/CT2 - GENERAL SURGERY

Applications are invited for a Fixed Term Appointment for Service Covering a Training Post (CT level) on our Core Surgical Training rotation at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board based at the University Hospital of Wales.

Main duties of the job

Specialties within each rotation include - General Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Transplant Surgery and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.

The post will be available from 3rd August 2022 - 31st January 2023

  • MBBS or equivalent Medical Qualification
  • Evidence of achievement of foundation competencies or equivalent

Desirable

  • Evidence of relevant academic and research achievements, e.g degrees, prizes, awards, distinctions, publications, presentations, other achievements
  • Evidence of involvement in an improvements projects, formal research projects or any other achievements
  • Ability to apply sound Clinical knowledge and judgement to problems
  • Ability to maximise safety and minimise risk
