Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an innovative and strategically minded individual to work with the lead Macmillan nurse and wider multidisciplinary team to participatein the development and evaluation of Cardiffand Vale Oncologyservices and to foster a co -ordinated and responsive approach to treatment. The postholder will be responsible for the strategic direction, clinical delivery and leadership of the Prepare Well Cancer team andwill establish professional links withthe forthcoming Acute Oncology service to be launched this year.

The role will ensure high quality, safe care and will support the development of clinical pathways through expert knowledge, clinical leadership and education.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to support the delivery of service implementation, development and innovation reporting into the Prehab2Rehab and Live Well Improvement Programmes.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and influencing skills, extensive experience of working across a broad range of services and will have worked successfully with other professionals and patients.
