An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy team in palliative care located in University Hospital Llandough.
The post will be based in the palliative care team and you will have professional support from the Occupational Therapist Band 7 based in UHW.
We are looking for an occupational therapist with experience and a passion for working in this specialist area with a strong occupational focus.
Supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development are well established and we actively support the education of students within our service

Main duties of the job
Occupational Therapy is core to the palliative team delivering Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention as part of the interdisciplinary team . Attendance at MDT meetings, case conferences and team learning events are all part of this role. Opportunities for joint working within the team and in collaboration with partner organisations is essential to promote individualised care and shared understanding of clinical needs.
In addition to direct patient care, this position provides essential advice and support regarding palliative strategies and support requirements to the wider team to inform intervention and management.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
