Job summary

A very exciting 6-month development opportunity has arisen within Neuropsychiatry to manage our Day Services and community team. We are seeking an enthusiastic leader who is looking to develop skills and gain experience in service development, innovation and change management.

Our All Wales Neuropsychiatry service is currently undergoing transformation and working towards a liaison model. The service is working collaboratively with stakeholders to design a service which is goal centred, time limited and prudent in approach. The successful applicant will be integral to this development and play a key role is supporting and developing staff.

The successful applicant will be supporting the Band 7 Ash Day Services and Community Manager in overall operational management of the team, effective management of change, developing relationships with wider teams as well as hold a community caseload. The ability to work under pressure, demonstrate resilience in challenging situations and demonstrate excellent communication skills is essential. Due to a large catchment area it is essential that successful candidate can travel between varied locations in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job

To deliver evidence based holistic care to clients within the context of a multi- disciplinary, multi-agency Community Mental Health Service.

To take responsibility for a clinical caseload providing comprehensive assessment, care and treatment to clients referred to the Community Mental Health Team in accordance with Parts 2 and 3 of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.

Foster robust working relationships with all partners and key stakeholders, in particular Local Authority, Primary Care and the Third sector.

Contribute to the continuing improvement and development of community mental health services.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
