This is an excellent opportunity for personal, professional and leadership development for an AHP, Nurse or Midwife with a specific interest in workforce improvement and transformation. An opportunity has risen for two 12-month fixed term or secondment fellowships, being offered at Band 8A. Part time applications are welcome.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of NMAHP policy, and gain experience in HEE. Postholders will also benefit from mentoring and development from existing NMAHP Heads/Leads in the regional and national teams.
Workforce Transformation Fellow 1
The fellow will focus on the analysis of NMAHP clinical placement expansion data to identify the impact of new models and innovations in AHP, Nursing and Midwifery student placements and opportunities to upscale them, such as Collaborative Learning in Practice (CLiP). They will identify and lead specific projects, which add value to existing offers and enhance placement capacity.
Workforce Transformation Fellow 2
This fellow will focus on the scoping of NMAHP placement activity across non-traditional placement providers such as the Private, Independent, Voluntary organisation (PIVO) sector, social and primary care settings. They will engage with a wide range of stakeholders to identify opportunities for high quality and innovative placements across non-traditional placement settings and lead on targeted projects which support expansion.
Main duties of the job
- The workforce transformation fellow will establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders from a range or organisation (health, social care, voluntary sector, patient groups) and from a range of professional backgrounds.
- Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive, and contentious information from a wide range of sources, on which agreement or co-operation will be required.
- Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.
- Will be required to utilise their proven ability to lead, empower and motivate others.
- Will be required to demonstrate their experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders
- Will be required to demonstrate their capabilities of managing their own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales
- Will be required to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
