Health Education England (HEE) has an exciting opportunity for aspiring and current consultant radiographers (Diagnostic or Therapeutic) to join the national cancer and diagnostic programme team. These clinical fellow roles provide a unique opportunity to work at a strategic level and drive forward the awareness, understanding and development of enhanced, advanced and consultant levels of practice within radiography. The fellows will collaboratively deliver a range of initiatives that underpin HEE's national programme deliverables at a regional and sub-regional level whilst working and providing a pivotal link to the many different stakeholders who are involved within this agenda.
The clinical fellows will work collaboratively to support different initiatives and projects for each level of practice and will use their knowledge, expertise and leadership to build and develop the infrastructure required to fully support the national team in achieving this ambition.
Main duties of the job
- To support the development of a clinical framework that outlines and defines consultant level practice in radiography.
- Support regions to increase the awareness, understanding and dissemination of funding opportunities for enhanced, advanced and consultant level education and training in radiography.
- Act as a source of specialist advice to support the delivery of different radiography advanced and consultant level practice projects at national, regional and sub-regional level.
- Provide connectivity between regional radiography advanced and consultant level practice delivery plans and support implementation at sub-regional level.
- Work in close collaboration with the national imaging programme team, other relevant national programmes, regional leads within both the advanced practice facilities and cancer and diagnostic programme, and other HEE enabling functions (nationally and regionally) to successfully deliver the objectives for these programmes of work.
- To provide subject matter expertise input at various key regional and national meetings that focus on workforce improvement and transformation.
- To support and expand strategic thinking and innovation to enable a broader understanding of HEE and the other Arm's Length Bodies (ALBs)

Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8b with a full-time starting salary of £54,764, with a pay step increase after 5 years service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
