As Analytical Assurance & Data Ethics Lead, you will help ensure that we have the right analytical capabilities and frameworks to deliver high quality, ethical analysis which supports impactful decision-making. You will collaborate to develop and implement analytical review and improvement processes, embed ethical data principles, and ensure we have robust processes that align with government standards.

Main duties of the job
1. Developing and evolving an organisational approach to analytical review and improvement and data ethics. Designing processes which are robust, proportional and fit-for-purpose to ensure alignment with government standards.
2. Delivery of training to enhance analytical and data ethics knowledge and skills of colleagues across the NHSBSA.
3. Working collaboratively with a range of teams, networks and product owners across the organisation to embed principles.
4. Providing specialist advice, guidance and thought leadership across the NHSBSA on:a. complex statistical, modelling and analytical matters.b. the ethical collection, sharing and use of data throughout the organisation.
5. Developing frameworks and resources to support identifying, collecting, monitoring, assuring and reporting on Business Critical Models and Algorithm Transparency Recording Standard.
6. Undertaking reviews of important and complex analytical products including Business Critical Models to assure that analysis is fit for purpose and meets user needs.
7. Undertaking reviews of data products and services, data science projects and policies to ensure that ethical considerations are embedded.
8. Identifying, recording and mitigating organisational risks and issues associated with analytics and data ethics. Working within the NHSBSA risk management framework.
9. Representing the organisation in relation to analytical assurance and data ethics. Sharing and learning best practice.
