Job overviewAs the Strategy, Performance, Business Development and Growth directorate matures and grows within the NHSBSA there is a need to further support our Performance function with the role of a Performance Analyst. Reporting to the Performance Lead, the holder of this post has responsibility for providing timely and accurate analysis of performance, creating valuable insight to assist reporting at multiple levels including directorate, LT, Main Board level and Sponsor. The post holder will work closely with the Performance Support Manger to support the delivery of performance workshops and the development of performance profiles to support regular reviews, deep dives and Business and Financial Planning.The Performance team support all levels of performance management across the NHSBSA; we partner with service teams and assist with their individual performance needs, ensuring performance measures are meaningful and drive performance improvement. - The use and development of skills to process / provide complex data to support the development of performance measures, business intelligence and insight. This will be done through sourcing, analysing, and presenting data across the NHSBSA.
- Support with the development of a balanced set of measures of performance against customer/stakeholder requirements and related process measures.
- Ensure that measures are analysed to deliver a value adding output, undertake research and collect supporting data that enables more detailed analysis facilitating fact-based decision making and improvement.
- Review performance measures and identify where we might have a risk in a KPI or achievement of an agreed goal, work with necessary stakeholders to both inform and mitigate identified risks as appropriate.
- Delivers timely, accurate and targeted suite of reports in a robust method, which analyse trends over time, shows comparisons of data and encompasses appropriate statistical methods and forecasts of performance.
- Assisting in the development of data requirements that improve information, understanding, data analysis and reporting. Investigating and resolving data issues and anomalies between data sets.
- Support various aspects of data warehousing, data governance, business intelligence and data analytics in relation to our data strategy.
- Developing dashboards and reporting tools as required to support performance reporting, implementing improvements in reporting, including automation, data analysis, insight and data presentation to meet business needs. Experience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
