Main duties of the job

We're working in a hybrid way, spending time both home and office working. This position can be based from either of our offices in Greater Manchester or Newcastle upon Tyne.

As a senior leader within the Digital, Data and Technology Directorate the post holder will be responsible and accountable for a portfolio of digital services which are public facing on a national scale as part of the NHSBSA's Digital, Data and Technology Directorate delivering products and services which meet the needs of our users. You will lead a number of multidisciplinary Delivery Teams creating an environment which enables the team to deliver at pace in line with Government Technology, GDS and NHSBSA standards. You will identify and agree with Service Managers the strategic direction of digital services, removing blockers, facilitating regular ceremonies, work closely with Service Managers and Service Directors to advise and support the team and also track and report on progress. The roles require strong experience combining leadership and the effective use of agile methodologies by using their own initiative and judgement to achieve objectives with minimal guidance.
