If you enjoy working independently on a variety of tasks, you have what this role needs! You will join a team of Warehouse Operatives who undertake the receipt, storage, retrieval, and transportation of sensitive NHSBSA and client documents with the objective of providing an efficient service to all departments and stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
Undertakes the receipt, storage, retrieval, and transportation of sensitive NHSBSA and client documents with the objective of providing an efficient service to all departments and stakeholders. Primarily based at the National Warehouse (Northeast region) but may be required to work from alternative locations on occasion. The role involves frequent manual handling which can be heavy and intensive.

Job purpose:
Undertakes the receipt, storage, retrieval, and transportation of sensitive NHSBSA and client documents with the objective of providing an efficient service to all departments and stakeholders. Primarily based at the National Warehouse (Northeast region) but may be required to work from alternative locations on occasion. The role involves frequent manual handling which can be heavy and intensive.
In this role, you are accountable for:
- Performing all duties to the required level of output and accuracy and operating with due regard to established health & safety and quality procedures
- Responsible for the security of documents, information and equipment under their control and undertakes all duties with due regards to the terms of the Data Protection Act.
- Goods Inwards activities (including banksman and safe vehicle unloading) associated with the receipt of documents and goods from NHSBSA sites, clients and suppliers.
- Undertaking required checks on documents or goods depending on individual client requirements.
- Sorting materials and storing within the warehouse racking and shelving system.
- Operating the computerised Warehouse Tracking System to log and track items.
- Retrieving documents or goods from the warehouse within agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Preparing all documents or goods for despatch ensuring the correct packaging and labelling is used.
- Safe and secure collection and delivery (including vehicle loading / unloading) of documents and goods from/to NHSBSA sites and NHSBSA client sites. Occasional requirement for long distance driving.
- Assisting with disposal of confidential waste involving pallet preparation, pallet movements and vehicle loading.
- Assisting with the induction and mentoring of new warehouse operators.
- Communicating issues raised by internal or external clients to the warehouse supervisory team.
- Undertaking relevant training as required.
- Demonstrating flexibility in working hours to meet business requirements. Safety, Health & Environmental
