We are really excited to be recruiting a Clinical Safety & Risk Management Lead on a 12 month fixed term basis to join our Professional and Clinical Services function, working closely with the Head of Professional and Clinical Services to provide clinical safety and clinical risk management expertise across the organisation.
This is a new role so will be an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to bring their expertise, experience and enthusiasm as a clinical safety and risk management professional to develop the role and to establish and build the clinical safety and risk management understanding and capability in NHSBSA. This will also be an opportunity to work with colleagues from across the business and to build a deeper understanding of the role that NHSBSA plays in the broader health and care family. Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Head of Professional and Clinical Services and working with colleagues across the organisation, and with business partner organisations as necessary, you will be responsible for leading the further development and embedding of NHSBSA's approach to clinical safety and clinical risk management for health IT systems and the wider approach to clinical risk management and patient safety in the organisation. This will include ensuring that clinical risk management and patient safety standards are appropriately, proportionately and effectively implemented across the systems and services in development and deployment across NHSBSA; that clinical safety and risk management is a core consideration and activity in the development and deployment of systems and that NHSBSA and, where appropriate, business and system partners have met mandatory professional and clinical safety standards and can demonstrate that appropriate professional and clinical risk management and clinical safety responsibilities and standards have been understood, considered and applied.

To further develop and drive the implementation of the proportionate and appropriate adoption of clinical risk management standards in the development and deployment of NHSBSA services and solutions
- Working with the Head of Professional and Clinical Services, ensuring effective policies, processes, monitoring and reporting are in place to meet the requirements of the implementation of Clinical Risk Management Standards for Health IT systems.
