Job summary

The Improving Timeliness Programme Administrator (ITPA) will work within the Strategy, Policy and International and will be responsible for administrating, managing and supporting all phases of the Improving Timeliness Programme in line with the published processes.

The Improving Timeliness Programme supports the delivery of a priority business plan objective for 24/25 and 25/26: aligning and digitising our guidance producing processes. It brings together work in the three guidance producing programmes, with early steps of digital transformation from the DIT directorate and a NICE-wide approach to improvement from the People and Places directorate.

Our aim is to improve the timeliness of guidance production across medicines, health tech and guidelines whilst maintaining the quality of our guidance. Secondary aims are to improve staff experience and increase throughput of guidance producing centres (healthtech and medicines).

We are recruiting for an Administrator role on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2026 to support this exciting project.

We aim to hold interviews on 8th July 2025, shorlisted candidates will be notified if this date should change once selected for an interview.

Main duties of the job

The ITPA will have a portfolio of projects that they take administrative lead for, including support for collating management information for the High Quality and Timely (HQT) Board. They will work alongside the Programme Lead on various aspects of programme activity including key interdependencies with other strategic programmes.

  • Using Microsoft Office packages and internal tools to develop and administer information systems within the programme
  • Support the Programme Lead, and planning and organising key project activities
  • Providing efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support to team members and stakeholders, including servicing both virtual, in person and hybrid meetings, preparing correspondence and papers, collating, copying and distributing papers, and managing diaries
