In this role, you will support strategic initiatives that integrate AI into NICE's processes, working collaboratively across teams to identify and capitalise on opportunities for transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong grounding in research methods as well as the ability to support evaluations or pilots of artificial intelligence tools. Main duties of the job

The Senior Analysts within our team are responsible for a range of activities, including:

• Conducting research, or evaluations, analysing data and disseminating findings in collaboration with partners in the UK or internationally
• Delivering science policy and research outputs and ensuring the high technical quality of these outputs
• Developing applications for research funding in collaboration with partners in the UK or internationally
• Proactively working with teams across NICE to develop and deliver projects that address NICE's strategic research or business priorities
• Developing and maintaining working relationships with external collaborators including research partners, international HTA agencies, regulators and the wider research community
• Managing Data and Analytics research methods activity.

The team adopts a flexible approach, meaning that the post holder will work on multiple projects and activities at any one time and that specific tasks assigned to the post-holder may change in response to business needs.

The Science Evidence and Analytics (SEA) Directorate ensures NICE uses the best available evidence to support decision making across health and care. The Data and Analytics (D&A) Programme, part of SEA, supports the whole organisation by leading on real-world data and evidence. We work with system partners to ensure NICE accesses a wide range of health and care data, enabling a system that continually learns from implementation.

Recently, the D&A team led the development of NICE's Statement of Intent for artificial intelligence (AI), outlining our approach to: 1) guiding technology developers on best practice for AI-based evidence generation; 2) evaluating AI technologies for NHS use; and 3) exploring AI tools within NICE processes. This work ensures NICE remains at the forefront of data and technology innovation, both in the UK and globally. The team also conducts research and works with external policy partners to influence key issues, enhancing NICE's role as a methodological leader.
