Programme Lead for Improving Timeliness of Guidance Development

We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Lead for the NICE Improving Timeliness of Guidance Development Programme. This is one of NICE's most important business change programmes for 2024-2026, aiming to enhance the timeliness of guidance production across medicines, health tech, and guidelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Programme Goals:
- Improve the timeliness of guidance production measured by mean and median time in guidance-producing processes.
- Achieve 90% optimal appraisals of medicines meeting target time between marketing authorisation and technology appraisal.
- Improve staff engagement in guidance-producing functions and increase throughput of medicines and health tech guidance.
This opportunity to open to both London and Manchester office locations with hybrid home-working.

Main duties of the job
- Provide independent and objective delivery of the overall programme, working alongside the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for the Programme.
- Support Business Service Owners, Executive sponsors, and the SRO to deliver new ways of working to achieve programme outcomes and build capability in NICE for managing large programmes.
- Collaborate with the Programme Director for Continuous Quality Improvement and the Digital, Information & Technology directorate to employ continuous quality improvement methods and digital tools.
- Standardise and improve processes across guidance-producing centres, including topic management, committee management, stakeholder management, guidance generation, content creation, and the generation and use of management information.

Business Service Owners will take accountability for establishing a standard approach to working across NICE, incorporating available technology and working with the digital and improvement teams to prioritise the work required.
