We have two roles available, one permanent and one fixed term for 12 months (December 2024 until December 2025 covering maternity leave).
Main duties of the job
The Principal Adviser leads on the delivery of NICE Advice services (e.g. education, insights and advice). The post holder will use their specialist skills to:
- support triage of complex service requests,
- chairing/facilitating engagements,
- quality assurance and technical sign off of projects,
- mitigating technical issues and escalating risks to the Associate Directors where necessary.
- provide methodology leadership in their specialist area of work (for example market access, clinical trial design, methods for health technology assessment (HTA), health economics, or evaluation of AI/digital).
The Principal Adviser delivers projects with high standards of customer service and commercial awareness. The post holder has a key role in identifying new services and improving existing services in response to changes in the external environment.
In addition, the Principal Adviser works closely with the Associate Directors and Director to support strategic development of the function. Furthermore, they are required to establish and maintain good working relationships with key opinion leaders, academics, developers of life sciences products, and representatives of international HTA and regulatory agencies.
