This post is home based, with regular visits to the NICE offices in London and Manchester, plus additional travel to meetings and events across Wales, as required.

Main duties of the job

The Implementation Consultant is a key representative of NICE, working with senior stakeholders to support the implementation of NICE guidance and reduce unwarranted variation in uptake. This includes, but is not limited to:

o Engagement with senior commissioners, practitioners and decision makers to inform and advise on the use of NICE guidanceo Taking the strategic lead on the development and delivery of implementation initiativeso Building and maintaining relationships with key system partners and making decisions about areas of collaborationo Working with users of NICE and other system stakeholders to identify, collate, interpret and disseminate system intelligence to inform prioritisation, implementation and guideline developmento Leading on the development and roll out of a range of implementation support through engagement and collaboration with system partnerso Accountability for the delivery of the system implementation programmeo Management of strategic relationships between NICE and health and care systems, raising the profile of NICE across Wales, including:- Providing briefings to the Welsh Government on the uptake of NICE guidance and new developments within NICE- Supporting and participating in annual accountability reviews- Strategic engagement with key partner organisations across Wales- Advising NICE of changes and developments to policy and legislation which are relevant to NICE

The System Implementation Team supports the health and care system to implement NICE guidance. It does this by working in partnership with key users of NICE and system stakeholders across health and care. The team operates at a strategic level with engagement at Board and senior professional and management level, with a focus on reducing unwarranted variation in the uptake of NICE guidance.
