Executive Assistant for Director of Medicines Evaluation

Job summary

This role is for a highly organised, professional and committed Executive Assistant who is comfortable working autonomously to support the Director of Medicines Evaluation to achieve their strategic and business objectives. This role would suit somebody who has experience of providing senior personal administration support to senior managers and chief executives or directors in a fast-paced complex healthcare and/or life sciences environment.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into Director of Medicines Evaluation, the responsibilities and purpose of this role includes:

  • proactive and efficient personal coordination of duties for the Director of Medicines Evaluation; diary and email management and support for adhoc projects; coordination of a range of meetings, and meeting and greeting guests in person
  • coordination and operational duties, including providing cover as required, with minimal supervision

Other main areas of responsibilities will include leading the administration work of the Director, monitoring budgets, providing secretarial support to several internal cross team meetings, and supporting any special projects or new development work for the Director of Medicines Evaluation and Centre Management Team.

About us

The Centre for Health Technology Evaluation (CHTE) develops guidance on the use of new and existing medicines, treatments and procedures within the NHS.

The Centre Operations team provides business planning and administrative support to the Centre for Health Technology Evaluation, and direct support to the centre management team with respect to non-guidance matters such as the Executive Assistant function to directorate's Directors, strategic developments and implementing policy developments, corporate governance, staff and standing committee recruitment meeting support, and corporate reporting on behalf of the directorate.
