Main duties of the job
The Senior Account Managers will:
- act as a key point of contact in all matters related to customer needs, services and follow-up
- build strong connections with customers to develop lasting relationships and encourage repeat business
- lead on the coordination and delivery of business development activities
- have a thorough understanding of our products and services to ensure that we match them to the needs of our customers and provide maximum value
- foster a customer-focussed, commercial mindset across the team
Candidates for the Senior Account Manager roles should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in business management and business development
- Experience in developing effective relationships and working in partnership with colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds
- An understanding of commercial delivery at a strategic and operational level
- An understanding of business development and strategic account management acquired over a significant period
Knowledge of the life sciences industry, including both pharmaceuticals and medical technologies

From value proposition to evidence generation and market access, NICE Advice provides healthtech (devices, diagnostics, digital, artificial intelligence) and pharmaceutical developers with a trusted adviser, supporting them along the whole product pathway. We work collaboratively with life sciences companies so that more patients gain access to the best treatments and care.
We support companies to prepare for a NICE evaluation or engagements with payers or commissioners by providing accurate and reliable advice, education and NHS insights.
The team's objectives are to:
- provide high quality scientific advice to life science companies to enable swift progress through NICE's evaluation programmes, or to engage effectively with commissioners or payers
- help NICE to identify health technologies that are likely to have significant population health benefits, and engage with these companies early to ensure potential barriers to market access have been identified and addressed prior to NICE evaluation
- enhance NICE's reputation and increase industry engagement with our organisation through delivery of high-quality consultancy services to a UK and international audience
