Job summary
The Media Relations Executive will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of NICE's communications and organisational strategy. They will write engaging and audience appropriate news releases and respond in a timely and appropriate manner to media enquiries, prioritising in line with organisational priorities and the potential for high impact coverage.
Main duties of the job
As a Media Relations Executive, you will be responsible for media handling, generating positive news coverage, building relationships with national and specialist media, and providing media and presentational advice and support to senior colleagues across the organisation.

The Communications Directorate is responsible for raising awareness of NICE's work among key audiences and external partners, and for protecting and enhancing our reputation by using the most effective channels.
The role of the media relations team is to raise awareness of all aspects of NICE's work, its positive impact on patients and the health care system and to provide advice on aspects of presentation, reputation and media handling.
The team responds to questions from the media, promotes new guidance about to be published and guidance that is already available, organises press conferences, arranges interviews for our spokespeople and briefs them accordingly, and issues comments on relevant stories.
