Job summary
Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for project managing individual processes to support the commercial liaison function.
What you will bring to NICE
To be considered for this role, we are looking for:
First degree, relevant project management qualification, or equivalent experience.
Experience in the management of complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams
Experience in working with a range of individuals and organisations ideally in a healthcare setting
The post holder should be able to demonstrate the following:

Ability to prioritise project resources efficiently and effectively
The ability to communicate effectively and establish effective working relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders at all levels
Contract type: Fixed Term contract to cover a secondment. End date 31/03/2024.
Main duties of the job
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- the successful project management of the CLT functions.
- the successful delivery of relevant CLT outputs to NHS England in order to support commercial arrangements.
- planning and coordinating the delivery of CLT outputs to process, time and quality thus ensuring that CLT processes are followed appropriately
The project manager plays a key role in coordinating staff and input from external stakeholders.
The project manager works within the CLT and alongside the Programme Manager on a portfolio of projects to support the development of commercial arrangements in a timely manner.
The post holder will regularly review operational procedures, identify areas for improvement, and oversee the implementation of changes. Working with the programme manager, they take on additional responsibilities to review and update CLT processes when required and undertake special project work for the Associate Director (CLT), programme director (CMAP) and the Senior Management Team of the Institute.

The Commercial Liaison Team provides an interface between NICE guidance production and the NHS England Commercial Directorates to ensure that: the value judgements made by NICE committees in the development of guidance are effectively translated and incorporated into those used in related commercial engagements led by NHS England; NHS England are supported in understanding the impact of these judgements on the commercial arrangements they are developing with manufacturers; commercial arrangements are assessed to ensure they do not introduce unduly complex monitoring, disproportionate additional costs, burden and bureaucracy to the NHS; there is alignment between NHSE and NICE guidance production processes that supports timely access for patients to cost-effective and affordable technologies.
