Job summary
The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the national body responsible for all matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Further information about our work and annual plan for delivering this is available on our website.
The post holder will also be responsible for driving an intelligence led approach within the NHSCFA, through facilitating the research of fraud activity and risk within the NHS and the wider public health group, by ensuring the design and format of intelligence information meets the needs of the internal organisation and its interactions with external stakeholders and sponsors. The post holder will also be required to support criminal investigations though the provision of an operational analysis function and process that meets the professional requirements of investigators, the Crown Prosecution Service and Counsel.
We are keen to accept colleagues on secondment. This is a Temporary contract from August 2025 to March 2026 (7 months)

Main duties of the job
Developing an agreed plan of activity that will drive forward the units' activity in meeting organisational strategic objectives. Displaying an independence of decision making in their own area of work to ensure that all objectives are met.
Ensuring projects are properly scoped and planned to minimise risks with definable outputs and timescales.
Having overall responsibility for the development of policies surrounding the management of Intelligence unit and the information that it processes.
Putting in place the necessary long term strategic plans, businesses models and processes to enable NHS Counter Fraud Authority to deliver effective strategic, tactical, and operational intelligence.
