Job summary

The NHS Counter Fraud Authority is the national body responsible for all matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Further information about our work and annual plan for delivering this is available on our website.

We are embarking on a piece of work to monitor data to identify and respond to patterns indicative of potential fraud. This will support our current work that reduces the likelihood of fraud occurring. It will bring in data science capabilities to be deployed in counter fraud activity and work closely with partners across health and government to further maximise the preventative impact of proactive counter fraud analysis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the NHSCFA at the start of a new and challenging multi-million pound programme of work. It is a chance to really make your mark in this newly-created role, which supports the transformation work of the organisation.

There's a great remit covering the full spectrum of corporate communications from strategic planning right through to the practical day-to-day delivery including campaigns, media relations and social media as well as a strong engagement agenda with stakeholder management.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a great all rounder with excellent interpersonal skills who can hit the ground running, working across our internal and external audiences using a range of diverse channels. Our work is specialist and can be complex, but it has a wide reach and a big impact, with a good news story to share. You will join a dedicated in-house corporate communications function, which has its own design team, in a role that will allow you to make your own.

The operational management and practical delivery of corporate communications for a key data transformation programme and support for the wider organisation. This wide and diverse remit covers all aspects of corporate communications in line with the strategic objectives of the transformation programme and organisational aims of the NHSCFA .

To be a subject matter expert in corporate communications strategy and planning with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with engagement experience across a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external.

In addition to the advertised salary working in the London area will attract High-Cost Area Supplement where appropriate.   • Experience in leading and managing corporate communications from both a strategic perspective as well as day-to-day practical delivery.
  • Considerable experience of the development and implementation of effective communications and engagement plans for a specialist project with tangible examples of successful delivery across a range of sectors.
  • Experience of managing a complex portfolio of communications projects with competing priorities and delivery of high-level outcomes in a pressurised situation.
  • Exceptional writer with the ability to produce tailored messaging and content in different styles for a wide range of channels, from social media through to media relations, to diverse audiences.
