Job summary
The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the national body responsible for all matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Further information about our work and annual plan for delivering this is available on our website.
The successful applicant will have experience of managing and co-ordinating a programme of strategic intelligence research, identifying the likely nature and scale of both likely economic crime and security threats facing the NHS both now and in the future.

Main duties of the job
To develop, manage and co-ordinate a programme of strategic intelligence research which identifies the likely nature and scale of both likely economic crime and security threats facing the NHS both now and in the future. Support the development of tactical intelligence in identified areas of priority to inform to crime reduction strategies and to identify gaps in NHSCFA's knowledge of crime risks and to make recommendations as to how these can be filled.

- Significant demonstrable experience of undertaking strategic intelligence and analysis work including managing and developing staff within an intelligence environment
- A sound knowledge of Intelligence software, confident use of IT and a demonstrable aptitude with standard Microsoft packages
- Experience of staff management including career development, with demonstrable ability to delegate authority
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise work effectively
