Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic IT professional to join the team to support managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure. This 9 month fixed-term role is key to the operational effectiveness of ITC across the organisation and is responsible for providing technical advice and expertise as a subject matter expert. You will be working with the Information Systems Team to support our hybrid cloud infrastructure, primarily focused on developing, managing and troubleshooting physical and virtual server and storage platforms
The Counter Fraud Authority has offices in London, Coventry and Newcastle and there is the opportunity for office based, hybrid or home working based at any of these locations. In addition to the advertised salary working in the London area will attract High Cost Area Supplement where appropriate

Main duties of the job
The NHSCFA Technology function develops, secures, supports, and operates systems in support of NHSCFA operations. Business critical back-office and internet deployed digital applications are provided to support NHSCFA business streams.
The Infrastructure Specialist is a key role within the NHSCFA Information Systems team, supporting the ICT cloud and on-premise Infrastructure and Data network services to ensure the provision of an efficient and reliable service across all NHSCFA offices and to its remote workers.
The post holder will be responsible for managing a range of ICT Infrastructure and data networks provided by both internal and external service providers to support the NHSCFA ICT Strategy, including the implementation, management, and on-going support. The role holder will use specialist technical and business knowledge and co-ordination skills to manage the day-to-day operational activities and relationship between the ICT function and business areas, ensuring a unified approach covering the full lifecycle of service delivery from the initial service design to service decommission.
