Job summary

This role will provide a wide range of administrative support to ensure, delivery of the HR advisory function and associated workstreams. The post holder will also be supporting a change programme.

Main duties of the job

  • Delivery of people related functions linked to the NHSCFA HR advisory service.
  • Supporting the review of HR policies, procedures and reviewing Job Descriptions.
  • Collating and formatting workforce data.
  • Proving a point of contact of internal HR Advisory queries.
  • Supporting a 'change programme'.

  • Reviewing and tracking changes in employment law, identifying the impact on the organisation and actions required to maintain compliance.
  • Reviewing HR policies and procedures, recommending amendments.
  • Using judgement to answer straight forward queries e.g., on absence or leave queries.
  • Planning and coordinating meetings and preparing papers to discuss HR matters including disciplinary hearings, capability meetings and sickness reviews.
  • Reviewing, analysing and interpreting information on HR matters and make recommendations to all levels within the organisation.
  • Preparing Job descriptions.

  • Raise requisition and purchase orders for HR related financial transactions and maintain goods received information.

Qualifications & work experience

Essential

  • Diploma/degree in Business Administration/HR or equivalent experience. Working towards or ready to commence CIDP level 5.
  • Experience of working in a support capacity within a HR/workforce support environment
  • Experience in reviewing legislation and identifying amendments required to HR polices & procedures
  • Experience in supporting delivery of HR training to managers
  • Experience in analysing data and producing reports
