Are you skilled in digital marketing and engagement? Do you have a creative eye for producing visuals and content that can showcase a range of clinical guidance documents to key clinical audiences?

The NHS England's Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme is looking for a skilled individual to deliver information campaigns aimed at a wide clinical community using a range of digital platforms including social media (including X, LinkedIn, YouTube), e-newsletters and websites.The focus will be on creating online information resources and evaluating their effectiveness, in support of the GIRFT Academy which provides clinical guidance to NHS trusts and their clinical teams as part of the GIRFT programmes remit to deliver data-driven quality improvement initiatives across the NHS in England.

The GIRFT programme is an NHS improvement programme designed to improve the quality of care within the NHS. The programme works with hospital trusts to improve clinical care and patient outcomes by tackling variations in the way services are delivered across the NHS, and by sharing best practice between trusts and systems.

The post holder will report to GIRFT Clinical Information Products Lead and may be required to travel within the UK.

Main duties of the job

About the role:

  • Develop and achieve digital marketing objectives for a range of GIRFT projects and outputs, ensuring they meet the programmes strategic business objectives.
  • Manage the programmes digital communication channels, including the GIRFT website, social media accounts, YouTube channel and e-newsletter, ensuring their development and improvement.
  • Evaluate digital outputs, producing reports on progress and identifying options for improvement, using a range of analytical tools and software including Google Analytics.
  • Provide support for events and conferences, managing the liaison with conference organisers and GIRFT speakers, and producing PowerPoint presentations as required.
  • Deliver information to GIRFT audiences which promotes awareness and understanding of GIRFTs key plans and decisions using a range of digital channels, including via the GIRFT website, webinars and e-newsletters.
  • Foster effective partnerships with GIRFT stakeholders, in particular the professional specialty associations, establishing channels for informing such teams of GIRFTs outputs including its national reports and clinical guidance.

Please note that colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

  • Educated to Post-graduate degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
  • Further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes.
