Job summary
We are recruiting for a Business Support Officer to provide support to the Director, Deputy Director and Business Management Service within the Joint Cyber Unit (JCU) team. This role is available on a 12 month fixed term basis and we are looking for a candidate who is available to start as soon as possible.
The Joint Cyber Unit under the Office of the National Chief Information Security Officer (NCISO) sets strategy, policy and standards for cyber security across the health and care system. It develops strategies and policies to enable the effective management of systemic cyber risks across the wider health and care system in England.
Main duties of the job
This role will predominantly providediary management and business supportto the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer and the Deputy Director of Cyber Governance, Compliance and Risk within the JCU. We are looking for a candidate with experience of managing a senior leaders diary.
As a Business Support Officer, some of your other responsibilities will include:
- Act as the main point of contact with stakeholders in relation to communications, diary management, meeting management and other duties relating to the Deputy Directors and the NCISO.
- Ensure that the NCISO Business Plan and Objectives for the JCU are planned, managed and delivered effectively.
- Provide high quality support in managing and monitoring the JCU central inbox, ensuring that requests and commissions are dealt with promptly and accurately.
- Gather quality information and input; and leading the drafting and publication of the JCU Team Newsletter.
- Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally across the Joint Data Policy Unit, Cyber Operations, Cyber Improvement Programme and beyond.
- Deputise for Business Co-ordinators in the provision of secretariat services to relevant meetings and boards, including taking minutes / actions, collating papers and preparing agendas.
