Clinical Policy Writer - Wokingham
The Governance and Quality Assurance team provides internal services, with a core focus on continuous improvement and learning to maintain compliance and offer assurance, direction and guidance to the broader teams and functions across Optalis Services.

Main duties of the job
Working with Head of Service and Registered Managers, you will lead the development and publishing of clinical policies and procedures that ensure the people we support receive the highest level of care. The role will include creating approximately 35-40 policies, covering a number of clinical responsibilities in care homes with nursing.
Gathering information from CQC, NMC, colleagues and residents, you will write easy to understand policies and procedures with clear clinical guidance. Using Croner-i and our base templates, you will ensure they are fit for purpose and relevant to Optalis services.
There will also be a requirement to validate the accuracy and relevance of the information, as well as keeping records of revisions, updates and deletions of current policies.
The role will involve the need to visit other Optalis sites, such as Bluebell House in Wokingham and Hollies Care Home in Burghfield Common.
