Job summary
Hartlepool Borough Council are seeking to recruit and sponsor motivated, qualified Registered Nurses or Midwives who wish to undertake the 12 month Specialist Community Public Health Course (School Nursing), subject to funding approval. The programme is split between clinical practice and university attendance over the period of 1 year, where upon successful completion of the training programme, you will gain the SCPHN qualification and become a School Nurse.

Main duties of the job
Following successful application and interview you will join us from September 2025 with a 1 year fixed term contract. Students will be supported and will work within an integrated 0-19 locality team in Hartlepool.
This course is Post Graduate (PGDip). Applicants must have a UK Bachelor Honours Degree or overseas equivalent. A combination of academic and experiential learning will be considered on its own individual merits.
