Manager role in our adult community team, within the Rutland County Council
Adult Social Care Service.
The Team Manager will lead and manage a team of qualified social workers
and non-qualified workers, helping them to deliver high standards across the organisation.
To provide professional guidance and
expertise in respect of adult social care practice and maintain an oversight of
all complex cases.
To support, supervise and performance
manage the team and work with colleagues to deliver services for Adult Social
care.
Manage the
effective commissioning of services in line with national thresholds.
To assist
the Service Manager in leading and developing the services.
To promote
and contribute to the safety and wellbeing of all people in the community.
About you:
Qualified Social Worker SWE registered.
Experienced in line management and associated responsibilities
including performance management.
Confident in ability to work within legal frameworks,
with an understanding of regulatory requirements.
Effective communication skills with proven ability
to build effective relationships and partnerships with agencies and partners.
Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced
check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Main duties of the job
To manage and oversee the work of the Team. The
team supports adults over the age of 18 who have care and support needs, alongside
their families and informal carers.
Manage the effective commissioning of services in
line with national thresholds with consideration to securing funding streams
from other partner organisations eg. NHS Continuing Care.
To enable the support of complex cases, working
with multi-disciplinary teams and multi-agencies where necessary, in order to
safeguard the individual.
To assist the Service Manager in leading and
developing services to enable capacity to manage necessary changes to service
delivery to continue to meet the needs of the community and meet national
standards and regulations.
To promote and contribute to the safety and
wellbeing of all people in the community through the implementation of robust
safeguarding practices and procedures.
Ensure the delivery of professional standards in compliance with
National standards and regulations, the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of
Liberty Standards (DoLS) to ensure the highest quality of support to service
users and ensure adults at risk are safeguarded.
To ensure that statutory functions are effectively
discharged and are compliant with national standards and regulations. Contribute to inspection processes as
implemented by the Care Quality Commission to enable the Council to respond to
such inspections in an effective and timely manner.
