About us
Despite the challenges that Health and Adult Social Care has faced within the last two years, the approach we take in Buckinghamshire is not to take shelter and wait for the storm to pass. Instead we have chosen to transform and reshape across the system so we can build for the future.
Transforming Mental Health and Adult Social Care in the last 16 months is enabling us to reshape our mental health social work and AMHP partnership through Section 75 agreement between Buckinghamshire Council and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust to implement a structure that is focused around establishing the right conditions to deliver outstanding practice and working more closely with the voluntary and community sector to support people near to where they live.
We are committed to supporting a centralised service which is sensitive to meeting the complex needs of people requiring assessment under the Mental Health Act (1983) in a responsive and professional manner whilst promoting the wellbeing of a highly trained and competent workforce. This commitment has resulted in excellent retention of staff over the past 10 years.
