Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sandwells new Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Better Research for Better Health. Sandwell HDRC is a partnership between Sandwell MBC, the University of Birmingham, and the local voluntary & community sector, funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR). Our HDRC vision is to undertake evidence-informed, robustly evaluated activities that reflect the needs and values of our diverse local communities.
Main duties of the job
- Work closely with academic partners and wider stakeholders, including local communities, to identify and take forward research priorities relating to the wider determinants of health
- Support the embedding of evidence-informed practice alongside effective evaluation of programmes, projects, services and interventions
- Develop research skills, culture and infrastructure across directorates and wider system partnerships
- Oversee and manage evaluation of the HDRC programme of work, co-ordinating specialist input from internal and external partners
