Job summary

Main duties of the job

Working collaboratively with partner organisations and senior colleagues you will provide strategic leadership to transform and scale up the Supportive Communities programme into a local model and offer. You will also take a leadership role in shaping and implementing  an evaluation framework and collaborate with system partners to lead the development of a Staffordshire Healthy Ageing plan.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  • Strategic leadership of specific projects/initiatives within the Supportive Communities programme
  • Transforming the Staffordshire wide Supportive Communities programme and projects into a local model and offer
  • Drive further development and scaling-up of the Supportive Communities programme
  • Shape and implement an evaluation framework to measure impact of the Supportive Communities programme and otherpublichealthprojects
  • Collaborate with partners and lead the development of a Staffordshire wide healthy ageing plan for the Health and Wellbeing Board and Integrated Care Partnership
The Ideal Candidate

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who:

  • Can lead complex transformational change
  • Hasdetailed knowledge of public health, UK health and care systems
  • Has a sound understanding of research, evaluation and presenting information to inform strategic development and programme delivery
  • Is passionate about promoting improvements in public health and reducing inequity, you will promote co-production to ensure the voice of the person is recognised

This is a role where youll be working with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, so youll be:

  • A superb communicator, negotiator and influencer thatcan develop and sustain strong working relationships
  • A strategic planner and have strong programme management skills
  • Committed to community engagement and coproduction
  • Able to motivate and build teams that consistently achieve and exceeds its objectives
  • Have a high level of personal drive and integrity, youll be committed to proactively solving problems and developing innovative solutions to improve outcomes
