As our Public Health Support Officer, you will providing effective administrative and business support that contributes to the work of the Public Health Team. You will be required to arrange meetings, book facilities/equipment, prepare agendas, attend meetings and produce and distribute high quality, accurate minutes within agreed timescales to support managers in the department, and carry out any necessary actions identified following meetings.

Main duties of the job
You will assist in preparation and review of all statistical information relating to various settings such as Schools/nurseries and minute outbreak review meetings, assisting with FOIs, data requests, complaints and investigations that relate to Health protection matters. You will raise purchase orders, monitor and investigate invoices where required, and maintain financial spreadsheets to support Public Health Managers. You will join our Public Health team and will work across the Council and wider health system supporting the delivery of improved outcomes for residents. Salford is part of Greater Manchester with its Public Service Reform Programme and devolution agendas bringing new opportunities.
We are looking for someone with good interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, who communicates with clarity and enthusiasm and has the ability to create rapport and build trust and confidence.
We need someone to ensure reliable, accurate and timely information is available at all times to inform decision making and demonstrates initiative, confidence and personal responsibility for action
