We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and committed individual to take up the role of Graduate Trainee Public Health Practitioner in our innovative public health team. The post holder will lead on specific project work across a range of public health topics to ensure they gain a broad understanding across all the domains of public health.

Main duties of the job

This is a training role funded by Health Education England South East to grow a trained and diverse public health practitioner workforce. It is a 2.5 years fixed term contract, working towards Practitioner registration with the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR). The role will include:

  • 1 day protected study day for the duration of the contract
  • Support to undertake a structured development programme as part of this role, building on existing knowledge through further training and education to broaden knowledge, understanding and application across all domains of public health
  • Opportunity to undertake placements and/or projects to gain a broad understanding across the three domains of public health
