Job summary

The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub is our 'front door' to children's social care and receives all safeguarding referrals for children in Oxfordshire. With the help of our partner agencies, we quickly identify risks to vulnerable children and provide a safe and timely response to decide the most effective interventions.

Main duties of the job

The role of Senior Practitioner in MASH is an important one; you will be responsible for reviewing referrals and determining the most appropriate response to meet a child's needs. With your team of Senior Practitioners and the support of your managers, you will ensure decisions are clear, evidence-based and made at pace to ensure our children receive a timely and safe response.

About us

This is a key safeguarding role and therefore you need to be an experienced social worker with at least 3 years post qualifying experience in a child safeguarding role. The MASH is a busy, fast-paced environment, and so you should have experience of working in a busy duty and response environment. Previous experience in a MASH team is desirable.
