We have a position available in our Southwest locality team (North and South Kesteven), for aLevel 2 Occupational Therapist based in Grantham.You must be able to travel across the area as required for the role.

About our Team

We require a registered Occupational Therapist to work in Adult Care within one of the locality Occupational Therapy teams.Our locality teams consist of an OT Area Manager, an OTLead Practitioner, Advanced Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and Community Care Officers.

Team members undertake functional assessments (including moving and handling), provide equipment and recommend environmental adaptations.We use a strength-based approach tosupport individuals to meet their outcomes and to maximise their independence.The team is very friendly and welcoming, we enjoy going for lunches, having coffee and cake, and talking about our holidays and dogs.

Main duties of the job

Establish therapeutic relationships with people who use services that understand the impact and long term consequences of disability. This may involve collaboration and consultation with colleagues in health and other agencies. Assessing peoples needs including any non-social care needs e.g. housing, health care and work.

Manage a varied and complex caseload with supervision and advice from the Lead Practitioner at a level of complexity appropriate to the post holder's experience, and professional capability and be accountable for their professional practice.

Undertake assessments on more complex cases in line with the Care Act 2014 to identify care and support needs adopting and promoting a strengths based approach to identifying, outcomes people want to achieve, opportunities for independence and identify solutions.
